Since 2013, D&D organizes the annual forum “Origin, Diversity and Territories”, bringing together FAO, UNIDO, WIPO, UNESCO, along with international research centers such as CIRAD, IRD, INRA, universities, local and international NGOs.

The Forum on Origin, Diversity and Territories is an international platform for the exchange of experiences and knowledge on new ways of thinking about development in rural territories, interactions between cultural and biological diversity, and for the promotion of products whose quality is linked to their origin. The Forum aims to become a link between a wide range of international actors involved in new ways of thinking and working for development. In these new ways of thinking, local identity, origin, quality and diversity foster inclusive local development dynamics.

In 2011, D&D co-founded the «International Platform for Biocultural Diversity and Territories». This is a group of institutions, organizations and individuals committed to the promotion of biocultural diversity, aiming to promote processes that contribute to sustainable, inclusive, competitive and resilient territorial dynamics. This network has a long-term objective: to include vulnerable rural populations, partners recognized for their experience, and specific networks in Latin America, Europe, Africa and other regions of the world.
